Dubai EXPO 2020

Jó Dubaj. Někdo ji nenávidí a někdo naopak miluje. Město kontrastů, město divů, město staré arabské říše prolnuté s tou novou. Město u moře, a  zároveň v nekonečném písku. JÁ jsem ta, co ji miluje, proto se tam ráda vracím a vracet se budu. Miluji divy světa - i když jsou z té nejmodernější doby. Miluji tu přizpůsobivost města a mít všechno snadno na dosah.

Dubai. Some people hate her and some people love her. The city of contrasts, the city of wonders, the city of the old Arab Empire intertwined with the new one. A city by the sea, while in the endless sand. I am the one who loves her, so I like to go back there and I will return. I love the wonders of the world - even if they are from the most modern times. I love the adaptability of the city and having everything within easy reach.

 Dubai. Manche Leute hassen sie und manche lieben sie. Die Stadt der Kontraste, die Stadt der Wunder, die Stadt des alten arabischen Reiches, die mit dem Neuen verflochten ist. Eine Stadt am Meer im endlosen Sand. Ich bin derjenige, der sie liebt, also gehe ich gerne dorthin zurück und ich werde zurückkehren. Ich liebe die Wunder der Welt – auch wenn sie neu sind. Ich liebe die Anpassungsfähigkeit der Stadt und alles in Reichweite zu haben.

Před dvěma lety těsně před covidem jsem město navštívila poprvé a nyní v únoru se tam vrátila a zažila ho zase z jiného pohledu. V rámci EXPO 2020, jsem mohla vidět téměř všechny země světa na jednom jediném místě. Byla jsem v Saudské Arábii, kam turisti příliš nejezdí, prošla jsem chudší, ale i bohatší státy Afriky, poprvé jsem navštívila USA a vychutnala si jejich nové nealko pivko! Jo to bodlo... Projela jsem ASII a hltala, jak kreativní a inovativní může být Japonsko.  S přítelem jsme prošli zhruba polovinu pavilónů a on o trochu ještě víc, protože jsem dala jeden den dopoledne přednost ležení v bazénu... Kromě promítání, různých efektů, výstav tradičních věcí a pochutin, jsme mohli navštívit i místní restaurace. A tak jsme si dali večeři v Libii a Iráku?, Iránu? Ty dva názvy státu neustále zaměňuji. Za mě bylo EXPO 2020 JEDEN VELKÝ ZÁŽITEK i přesto, kolik kilometrů jsme nachodili, a jak unavení byli. 

Two years ago, just before the covid, I visited the city for the first time, and now in February I returned there and experienced it from a different perspective. Under EXPO 2020, I was able to go through almost every country in one place. I was in Saudi Arabia, where tourists don't go much, I went through poorer but also richer African countries, I visited the USA for the first time and enjoyed their new soft beer! Yeah, it was so tasty ... I went through ASII and I was excited how creative and innovative Japan can be. My boyfriend and I went through about half of the pavilions and he a little more, because one day I preferred to lie in the pool ... In addition to screenings, various effects, exhibitions of traditional things and delicacies, we could also visit local restaurants. So we had dinner in Libya and Iraq ?, Iran? I keep confusing these names of the state. EXPO 2020 was ONE GREAT EXPERIENCE for me, despite how many kilometers we drove and how tired we were.

Vor zwei Jahren, kurz vor Corona, habe ich die Stadt zum ersten Mal besucht, und jetzt im Februar bin ich dorthin zurückgekehrt und habe sie aus einer anderen Perspektive erlebt. Im Rahmen der EXPO 2020 konnte ich fast alle Länder an einem Ort durchqueren. Ich war in Saudi-Arabien, wo Touristen nicht viel hingehen, ich bin durch ärmere, aber auch reichere afrikanische Länder gefahren, ich habe zum ersten Mal die USA besucht und ihr neues Soft Beer genossen! Ja, es war so lecker ... Ich habe ASII durchlaufen und war begeistert, wie kreativ und innovativ Japan sein kann. Mein Freund und ich sind etwa die Hälfte der Pavillons durchgegangen und er etwas mehr, weil ich eines Tages lieber im Pool lag... Neben Vorführungen, diversen Effekten, Ausstellungen von traditionellen Dingen und Köstlichkeiten konnten wir auch Lokales besichtigen Gaststätten. Also aßen wir in Libyen und im Irak zu Abend?, im Iran? Ich verwechsle immer wieder diese Staatsnamen. Die EXPO 2020 war für mich EINE GROSSE ERFAHRUNG, egal wie viele Kilometer wir gefahren sind und wie müde wir waren.

Kromě EXPA jsme v Dubaji byli alespoň na chvíli u moře.Ukázala jsem přítelovi moji oblíbenou pláž u hotelu Plachetnice, na který je bohužel výhled omezen nově vznikajícím hotelem. Byli jsme na nádherné pláži JBR u obrovského ruského kola. Poprvé jsem byla na palmovém ostrově a upřímně, pokud si nezaplatíte aquapark a hotel, tak tam ani nejezděte, k pláži se jinak nedostanete... 

In addition to EXPA, we were in Dubai at least for a while by the sea. I showed my friend my favorite beach at the Plachetnice hotel, which is unfortunately limited by the newly emerging hotel. We were on the beautiful JBR beach with a huge ferris wheel. I was on a palm island for the first time and honestly, if you don't pay for a water park and a hotel, you don't even go there, otherwise you won't get to the beach ... 

Neben der EXPA waren wir zumindest zeitweise in Dubai am Meer. Ich zeigte meinem Freund meinen Lieblingsstrand im Hotel Plachetnice, der leider durch das neu entstehende Hotel begrenzt ist. Wir waren am wunderschönen JBR Beach mit einem riesigen Riesenrad. Ich war das erste Mal auf einer Palmeninsel und ganz ehrlich, wenn man für einen Wasserpark und ein Hotel nicht bezahlt, geht man gar nicht hin, sonst kommt man nicht an den Strand … 

Přítelovi jsem chtěla ukázat výhled z Burj Khalify a tak jsem tam byla podruhé, ale pro změnu našli jsme křídla, u kterých jsem prostě musela mít fotku. Opět jsem viděla zpívající fontánu. A koupala se alespoň v bazénu, moře bohužel příliš nebylo, protože EXPO... Ubytování jsme byli v mém oblíbeném hotelu Citymax Barsha at the mall, který splňuje všechny moje kritéria, je blízko k moři, EXPU, ale i centru s nejvyšším mrakodrapem světa. Prostě top hotel.  Přes ulici je Mall of the Emirates, kde je lyžařské středisko. 

I wanted to show my boyfriend the view from Burj Khalifa, so I was there for the second time, but for a change we found wings that I just had to have a picture of. I saw the singing fountain again. And she bathed at least in the pool, unfortunately the sea was not too, because EXPO ... Accommodation we were in my favorite hotel Citymax Barsha at the mall, which meets all my criteria, is close to the sea, EXPU, but also the center with the tallest skyscraper in the world . Just a top hotel. Across the street is the Mall of the Emirates, where there is a ski resort.

Ich wollte meinem Freund die Aussicht vom Burj Khalifa zeigen, also war ich zum zweiten Mal dort, aber zur Abwechslung fanden wir Flügel, von denen ich einfach ein Bild haben musste. Ich sah den singenden Brunnen wieder. Und gebadet hat sie wenigstens im Pool, Meer war leider auch nicht, wegen EXPO... Untergebracht waren wir in meinem Lieblingshotel Citymax Barsha an der Mall, das alle meine Kriterien erfüllt, ist nah am Meer, EXPU aber auch das Zentrum mit dem höchsten Wolkenkratzer der Welt. Einfach ein Top-Hotel. Auf der anderen Straßenseite befindet sich die Mall of the Emirates, wo sich ein Skigebiet befindet.
