RHODOS ČÁST 3./ Rhodos part 3

Lindos, to je něco, říkali… a měli pravdu. Pokud jste milovníci historie, v tomhle příjemném městečku si určitě přijdete na své. Z úzkých uliček, prastarých sloupů i dveří dýchá dávná minulost. Čím více se blížíte k vrcholu s Acropolis, tím více se vracíte do dob místních předků. Prolíná se zde antika, s prvky z Osmanské říše s aktuální kulturou. 

Lindos is something, they said… and they were right. If you're a history buff, you'll definitely enjoy this pleasant town. The ancient past breathes from the narrow streets, ancient columns and doors. The closer you get to the summit with the Acropolis, the more you go back to the times of the local ancestors. Antiquity, with elements from the Ottoman Empire, and current culture are intermingled here. 

Lindos ist etwas, sagten sie ... und sie hatten Recht. Wenn Sie ein Geschichtsinteressierter sind, werden Sie diese angenehme Stadt auf jeden Fall genießen. Die antike Vergangenheit atmet von den engen Gassen, alten Säulen und Türen. Je näher man dem Gipfel mit der Akropolis kommt, desto mehr fühlt man sich in die Zeit der einheimischen Vorfahren zurückversetzt. Antike mit Elementen aus dem Osmanischen Reich und aktuelle Kultur vermischen sich hier. 

 

Blížila se temná síla, nebesa zčernala, a protože jsme ve městě už vše viděli, bylo na čase sednout do auta a přesunout se k zřícenině hradu Asklipio.

A dark force was approaching, the skies turned black, and since we had already seen everything in the city, it was time to get in the car and move to the ruins of Asklipio Castle. 

Eine dunkle Macht näherte sich, der Himmel wurde schwarz und da wir bereits alles in der Stadt gesehen hatten, war es Zeit, ins Auto zu steigen und zu den Ruinen der Burg Asklipio zu fahren.

Protože jsme se nacházeli na nejjižnější straně ostrova, museli jsme toho využít a zajet na jednu z  nejvyhlášenějších pláží ostrova Prasonisi. Na tu pláž, která na obrázcích na Google a pohlednicích lehce připomíná Maledivy. Krásný písek, ostrůvek, kam můžete při odlivu dojít suchou nohou a naopak při přílivu si zaplavat. Asi si dokážete představit, jaké to bylo zklamání, když na tom úžasném místě byl obrovský nepořádek a vyplavené všechny možné věci, včetně mrtvé želvy, která evidentně byla zamotaná nožičkami do plastových sáčků. Byla to síla vidět, jaké jsou lidi prasátka. Co všechno moře skrývá, co vyplaví a jak dokážeme my lidi svým nepořádkem ublížit nevinným živočichům. Moc tomu pod pokličku nevidím a nevím, jestli místní obyvatelé chodí tam uklízet, ale bylo by to potřeba… 

Since we were on the southernmost side of the island, we had to take advantage of it and go to one of the most famous beaches of the island of Prasonisi. To that beach that looks a bit like the Maldives on Google images and postcards. Beautiful sand, an island where you can walk with dry feet at low tide and swim at high tide. I guess you can imagine the disappointment when the amazing place was a huge mess with all sorts of things washed up, including a dead turtle that was obviously wrapped by its legs in plastic bags. It was a power to see what  a people piggies are like. What the sea hides, what it washes up and how we humans can harm innocent animals with our mess. I don't see much under the hood and I don't know if the local residents go there to clean, but it would be necessary...

Da wir uns auf der südlichsten Seite der Insel befanden, mussten wir die Gelegenheit nutzen und zu einem der berühmtesten Strände der Insel Prasonisi fahren. Zu diesem Strand, der auf Google-Bildern und Postkarten ein bisschen wie die Malediven aussieht. Wunderschöner Sand, eine Insel, auf der man bei Ebbe trockenen Fußes laufen und bei Flut schwimmen kann. Ich denke, Sie können sich die Enttäuschung vorstellen, als der erstaunliche Ort ein riesiges Durcheinander war und alle möglichen Dinge angespült wurden, darunter eine tote Schildkröte, die offensichtlich an ihren Beinen in Plastiktüten gewickelt war. Es war beeindruckend zu sehen, wie die Schweinchen eines Volkes sind. Was das Meer verbirgt, was es anspült und wie wir Menschen mit unserer Sauerei unschuldigen Tieren schaden können. Ich sehe nicht viel unter der Haube und ich weiß nicht, ob die Anwohner dorthin gehen, um zu putzen, aber es wäre notwendig...
