The Kardashians - viděli jste? / The Kardashians – Have You Seen It?

Na jaře jsem si aktivovala Oneplay a objevila na něm reality show, o které jsem už kdysi slyšela – The Kardashians. Do té doby jsem z celé rodiny znala především Kim, výstřední postavu, která byla svého času manželkou rappera Kanyeho Westa. Z médií na mě působila jako poměrně sebevědomá až namyšlená žena. Po zhlédnutí několika dílů jsem ale zjistila, že realita je trochu jiná.

Kim sebevědomím rozhodně nešetří, ale namyšlená mi nepřijde. Naopak mě překvapilo, jak cílevědomá a pracovitá je. Samozřejmě měla do jisté míry štěstí, že se narodila právě do této rodiny a dostala se tak do světa, ke kterému by se většina lidí nikdy neměla šanci ani přiblížit. Zároveň je ale zajímavé sledovat, kolik práce, energie a ambicí jednotlivé členky rodiny do svého života a podnikání vkládají.

Co mě na seriálu zaujalo možná ještě víc než samotný životní styl Kardashianek, jsou jejich vzájemné vztahy. Přestože mezi sebou mají spoustu neshod, hádek a někdy si dokážou pěkně ublížit, v důležitých chvílích při sobě stojí. I přes všechny nástrahy okolí, tlak médií a pozornost veřejnosti je mezi nimi vidět silné rodinné pouto.

The Kardashians tak pro mě není jen přehlídka luxusu, módy a života ve světle reflektorů. Je to také pohled do rodiny, která se musela naučit fungovat pod neustálým dohledem veřejnosti a médií.

Viděli jste The Kardashians? Jaký na ně máte názor vy?

In the spring, I subscribed to Oneplay and discovered a reality show I had heard about before – The Kardashians. Until then, the only member of the family I really knew was Kim, the rather extravagant figure who was once married to rapper Kanye West. Based on what I had seen in the media, she always came across as quite confident, even a little arrogant. After watching a few episodes, though, I realized that reality is a bit different.

Kim certainly doesn’t lack confidence, but I wouldn’t describe her as arrogant. On the contrary, I was surprised by how ambitious and hardworking she is. Of course, you could say she was lucky to be born into this particular family and have access to a world that most people would never even get close to. At the same time, though, it’s interesting to see how much work, energy and ambition the women in the family put into their lives and businesses.

What interested me even more than the Kardashian lifestyle was their relationships with one another. They may have plenty of disagreements and arguments, and sometimes they can really hurt each other, but when it matters, they stand by one another. Despite all the outside pressure, media attention and constant public scrutiny, there is a strong bond between them.

For me, The Kardashians is therefore not just a show about luxury, fashion and life in the spotlight. It also offers a glimpse into a family that has had to learn how to live and function under constant public and media attention.
