ŘÍJNOVÉ CESTOVÁNÍ - KEFALONIA/ TRAVEL IN OCTOBER

Konec října jsem zakončila cestou do Řecka na ostrov Kefalonia. Cílem bylo projet ostrov veřejnou dopravou a autem, poznat nejodlehlejší místa, ale také důkladně prozkoumat ty nejbližší, či se vydat trajektem na vedlejší ostrov Zakyntos. V tomhle náš plán lehce ztroskotal, jakmile končí začátkem října sezóna, už si na do lodě nesednete... a autobus na ostrově neseženete. 

I ended the end of October with a trip to Greece to the island of Kefalonia. The goal was to travel the island by public transport and by car, get to know the most remote places, but also thoroughly explore the closest ones, or take a ferry to the neighboring island of Zakynthos. This is where our plan fell apart, as soon as the season ends at the beginning of October, you can't get on the boat anymore... and you can't get the bus on the island.

Ich beendete Ende Oktober mit einer Reise nach Griechenland auf die Insel Kefalonia. Ziel war es, die Insel mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln und dem Auto zu bereisen, die abgelegensten Orte kennenzulernen, aber auch die nächsten gründlich zu erkunden, oder mit der Fähre zur Nachbarinsel Zakynthos zu fahren. Hier ist unser Plan gescheitert, sobald die Saison Anfang Oktober endet, kommt man nicht mehr aufs Boot... und auf der Insel kommt man nicht mehr in den Bus.

 

Během týdne jsme vystřídali 5 ubytování, které jsme měli přes booking.com - většinou bez snídaně a vařili si jídlo ráno v kuchyňce. Auto jsme měli půjčené od místní autopůjčovny, která se nacházela jako jedna z mnoha u letiště. Letenky jsme si koupili sólo bez cestovky. A víte co? Bylo to fajn! 

During the week, we changed 5 accommodations that we had through booking.com - mostly without breakfast and cooking in the kitchen in the morning. We rented a car from a local car rental company, which was one of many near the airport. We bought the tickets solo without a travel card. And you know what? It was fine! 

Unter der Woche haben wir 5 Unterkünfte, die wir über booking.com hatten, gewechselt – meist ohne Frühstück und morgens in der Küche kochen. Wir mieteten ein Auto bei einer lokalen Autovermietung, die eine von vielen in der Nähe des Flughafens war. Wir haben die Tickets solo ohne Fahrkarte gekauft. Und weisst du was? Es war gut!
