Vánoční Třebíč 24/ Christmas light in Třebíč

Ani na vánoční Třebíč nesmím zapomenout. Do Třebíče jsme vyrazili s kamarády 23. prosince. Naším cílem byla vánočně laděná procházka se svařákem v ruce. Třebíč je již několikátým rokem známá svým vánočním osvětlením rozprostřeným po celém městě. Zimní procházku jsme započali na náměstí s vánočním stromečkem, stánky a ruským kolem jako hlavní atrakcí. Odtud jsme pokračovali uličkami směrem na kopec do parku, kde jsou krásně osvětlené stromy a po celé plošině zpodobněniny zvířátek.

I must not forget about Christmas in Třebíč. We visited Třebíč with friends on December 23rd. Our goal was a Christmas-themed walk with mulled wine in hand. Třebíč has been known for several years for its Christmas lights spread throughout the city. We started our winter stroll at the square, featuring a Christmas tree, stalls, and a Ferris wheel as the main attraction. From there, we continued through the streets uphill to a park, where beautifully lit trees and animal figures could be seen across the entire area.

Tento rok šlo snad celé Česko do sebe a v období adventu doslova ožilo vánočními světýlky. Tak tomu bylo i u nás na Vysočině ve Velkém Meziříčí, ve městě, odkud pocházím. Kromě ošklivých budek na náměstí a kluziště přibyl adventní věnec, osvětlená brána, postavy zvířátek, a světýlka rozmístěná tak nějak všude po městě. Mohlo by toho být ještě víc? Rozhodně ano! Ale i tak to bylo moc pěkné a překvapující.

This year, it seems like the whole of the Czech Republic embraced the holiday spirit, and during Advent, it literally came alive with Christmas lights. It was no different here in Vysočina, in Velké Meziříčí, the town where I come from. Besides the unattractive stalls on the square and the ice rink, there was an Advent wreath, an illuminated gate, animal figures, and lights scattered all over the town. Could there have been even more? Definitely yes! But even so, it was very beautiful and surprising.

Adventní trhy v Brně navštěvuji již od svého dětství pravidelně každý rok. Byl čas, kdy trhy stagnovaly a nepřipadaly mi ničím zajímavé. Byl čas, kdy byl covid, alkohol se nesměl pít, a my chodili po ozdobeném náměstí s PET lahví od vína a užívali si pouze barevných světýlek. Nyní musím přiznat, že za celou dobu, co trhy navštěvuji, byly ty letošní opravdu nejhezčí, a také tam bylo asi nejvíc lidí, co jsem kdy zažila.

I have been visiting the Christmas markets in Brno regularly every year since my childhood. There were times when the markets were stagnant and seemed uninteresting to me. There were also times during Covid when drinking alcohol was prohibited, and we walked around the decorated square with a PET bottle of wine, enjoying only the colorful lights. Now, I must admit that, in all the years I’ve been visiting the markets, this year’s were truly the most beautiful, and there were probably more people than I’ve ever seen before.
